Boys & Girls Clubs in Tennessee’s 2026 Youth of the Year Candidates

Across the state of Tennessee, the “Blue Doors” of our Boys & Girls Clubs represent more than just a safe place after school—they are the launchpads for the next generation of American leaders. Every year, the Youth of the Year program recognizes the most outstanding young people in our communities, celebrating those who have overcome personal challenges and demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and academic excellence.

As we look toward the state competition in Nashville this March, let’s meet some of the incredible young leaders representing Tennessee’s bright future.

2026 Boys & Girls Clubs in Tennessee's Youth of the Year candidates

More Than a Title: The Journey of Growth

While the Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor, the program is fundamentally about leadership development. Candidates spend months working with mentors, writing essays, and honing their public speaking skills.

  • Academic Excellence: Maintaining high standards in the classroom.

  • Healthy Lifestyles: Committing to physical and mental well-being.

  • Service: Giving back to the Clubs and neighborhoods that raised them.

What’s Next?

The journey doesn’t end at the local level. Our Tennessee candidates will head to Nashville from March 2–4 for the statewide Summit. Winners from the state level will receive significant college scholarships and the chance to compete at the Southeast Regional and National competitions.

These teens remind us that with the right support, every child in Tennessee can reach their full potential as a productive, caring, and responsible citizen.
