Meet Jada from Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains
It is with great pleasure that Boys & Girls Clubs in Tennessee announces the 2024 Tennessee State Youth of the Year winner from Boys & Girls Club of the Smoky Mountains.
From orientation to the Youth of the Year announcement, the 2024 Tennessee State Youth of the Year event was one to remember. The Tennessee State Youth of the Year Competition was conducted in person at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Teens from the state of Tennessee all came together to compete for the title of 2024 Tennessee State Youth of the Year and had a fun-filled two days of competition, attending Topgolf, and conducting a service project.
Jada Cates has been a Club member at Boys & Girls Club of The Smoky Mountains since she was five years old. Jada is currently a Junior at Northview High School and has a 3.9 GPA. Jada has a love and passion for serving others and hopes to continue that into her education and one day her career. While she is undecided in where she wants to go to college, thanks to the $25,000 scholarship she will receive through the Youth of the Year competition, the barrier of cost will no longer burden her. We are so thankful for the sponsors and their generous contributions to this event. Jada and Boys & Girls Club of the Smokey Mountains appreciates the impact you have made on not only our Clubs, but Clubs across the whole State.
Now Jada will go on to compete in Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Southeast Regional competition. We wish Jada good luck and are thankful for her leadership.
